DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (10/27/22): NBA DFS Lineups

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on October 27, 2022. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Thursday, RotoBallers! We have a little larger of a Thursday slate this week with four games going on. We have the Warriors, Mavs, Nets, and Clippers on the slate, so it's a star-studded one! Just watch out for resting players as the Nets, Lakers, and Miami are on back-to-backs.

With both FanDuel and DraftKings having multi-position eligibility players, and we'll have to attack slates accordingly to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 10/27/22. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Luka Doncic - at BKN (FD: $12,000, DK: $12,000)

Luka has been the best player in the early going, topping 30 points, six assists, and seven rebounds in all three games so far. This included a game against Memphis in which Luka only played 30 minutes because the Mavs won by 41 points. I like dropping the anchor on Luka in cash games, but the fact that he is $1,800 more than the next-highest player on DK and $1,400 more on FanDuel, I can see a GPP fade. You just have to make sure you make good use of that extra cash because Luka's hitting 60 again.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - vs LAC (FD: $10,300, DK: $9,300)

If you don't want to spend on Luka, SGA is a suitable alternative, especially on DK. He came up huge against the Clips on Tuesday night, but the return of Paul George could hinder him a bit. That's why I'm still dropping the cash anchor with Luka. SGA has that upside we covet in GPP formats. With Josh Giddey still out though, SGA's ceiling is just as high. That's what I'm after in a GPP.

Tyler Herro - at GS (FD: $7,500, DK: $7,200)

Herro has started the season on a heater. He has at least 20 points in four of the five games and shouldn't be affected much by Miami's back-to-back. Herro has played big minutes with the exception of the first Toronto game where he got himself in foul trouble.  Teams have been able to score almost at will on the Warriors. If Miami continues that trend, it's going to be Herro leading the charge.

Also consider: Ja Morant (FD: $10,600, DK: $10,200), De'Aaron Fox (FD: $8,800, DK $8,700), Aaron Wiggins (FD: $4,400, DK: $3,900)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jimmy Butler - at GS (FD: $8,100, DK: $8,600)

Butler is one of the better scorers around, which is bad news for the Warriors right now. Only Boston has held Butler under 24 points so far this season. He doesn't get the coveted double-double bonus on DK, but he still contributes in every category. I prefer the savings on FanDuel where value is sometimes harder to come by, but Butler is playable on both sites in every format tonight.

Keegan Murray - vs. MEM (FD: $5,200, DK: $5,500)

The rookie is getting his first start tonight and we will get a nice glimpse of the future of the Kings. Murray has been good in both games so far. He's nailing shots from outside and pulling down boards. His minutes load won't change much, but I like him to have another strong game against Memphis. I'm hoping his move into the starting lineup gives his stats a little boost.

Robert Covington - at OKC (FD: $4,900, DK: $4,800)

Paul George will be back, but Marcus Morris and Kawhi Leonard are still out. That should mean more minutes for Covington and Nicolas Batum. Covington isn't someone you can use when the Clips are at full strength, but with the frontcourt a little beaten up, he's a cheap source of defensive stats. Those can really add up if RoCo plays half the game or so.

Also consider: Andrew Wiggins (FD: $7,900, DK: $6,900), Santi Aldama (FD: $5,300, DK: $5,200), Maxi Kleber (FD: $3,900, DK: $4,000)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Christian Wood - at BKN (FD: $8,200, DK: $7,500)

Centers against Brooklyn. It's still a thing. It has been for five years or more. Wood has put up some huge per-minute stats for the Mavs. His minutes have gone up a touch in every game. If he finally plays more than 30 tonight, he has slate-breaking ability. Wood has been a great Robin to Luka so far, just as the Mavs had hoped Porzingis would be. This time it is actually happening.

Also consider: Bam Adebayo (FD: $7,000, DK: $7,300)
