Does Mike Napoli Have Anymore Bread in the Oven?

The Indians signed Mike Napoli to a 1 year deal as their starting first baseman after his overall disappointing 2015. His difficulties with right-handed pitchers caused him to become a liability as a full-time starter while he slashed .191/.283/.320 against them.

Power is about the only useful stat Napoli cooks up for fantasy owners anymore and that recipe is losing its flavor. A second consecutive season ending with a homer total in the teens, and he will have a hard time keeping that restaurant open if his ability to hit righties doesn't come closer to his career slash of .243/.340/.464. With a $7 million contract, he wasn't signed to be the lefty side of platoon, he was signed to play full-time for a team expecting to contend. Ranking near the bottom of our first baseman rankings, Napoli is nothing more than a bench option in the deepest of leagues unless he starts adding water from the Fountain of Youth.
