Welcome to the Daily Fantasy Hockey (NHL DFS) lineup picks article for October 31st of the 2015 NHL season. Each Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I'll be providing you with five picks (G, C, W, W, D) for FanDuel and DraftKings GPP and cash games.

Cheat Sheet Enhancements for 10/22: Two new advanced stats added!

  1. "Shots attempted per 60 minutes" reflects a players shots on net + shots that missed net + shots that were blocked. It's a key stat to show how much a player possesses the puck generally, and is a predictive indicator for the number of shots a player will get on net.
  2. "Points per 60 minutes" reflects a players point production per 60 minutes of ice time. This is a great indicator of how productive a player is in their ice time.  If a player has a high Points/60, and they get moved up to a top line, they'll represent a key sleeper play in the we

NHL DFS Picks for for Saturday, October 31st

Welcome to the Halloween edition of the daily fantasy hockey picks for Saturday night in the NHL. We have a smaller slate(7 games) due to there being three games played in the afternoon. At the time of writing this there is only two goaltenders(Allen-STL, Mrazek-DET) confirmed starting so be sure to follow me on Twitter(@Jager_Bombs) as I will post the starters throughout the afternoon as they are confirmed. Below is a list of the nine teams playing in back to back nights:

  1. Columbus Blue Jackets
  2. Washington Capitals(3rd game in 4 nights)
  3. Florida Panthers
  4. Boston Bruins
  5. Detroit Red Wings
  6. Ottawa Senators(3rd game in 4 nights)
  7. Toronto Maple Leafs
  8. Minnesota Wild
  9. Calgary Flames(3rd game in 4 nights)
  10. Pittsburgh Penguins are not on back to back but 3rd game in 4 nights

Ondrej Pavelec - Goaltender, Jets (DraftKings - $6,600 FanDuel - $8,200)

He is a GPP option on a smaller slate. The Jets are favorites on the road vs. the Blue Jackets who rank at the bottom of the league in offense and defense. Pavelec has a high floor as the Jets are giving up over 30 shots a game and he has started the year with a .918 save percentage. If he can pick up the win Saturday he will have a shot at double digit points.

Henrik Zetterberg - Center, Red Wings (DraftKings - $7,000 FanDuel - $7,100)

Has been unbelievably consistent in fantasy so far this year with points in eight of 10 games this year. The Red Wings travel to Ottawa for a game vs. the Senators who are playing a 3rd game in 4 days. The game has a good chance to go over the total and the Detroit offense flows through Zetterberg.

 Blake Wheeler - Winger, Jets (DraftKings - $7,200 FanDuel - $7,100)

I like this spot for the Jets to put up some goals and grab a win on the road on Saturday. Wheeler is a top option for the Jets who have a top 10 offense to start the year.

Loui Eriksson - Winger, Bruins (DraftKings - $4,900 FanDuel - $5,300)

He as been very productive for the Bruins to start the year with nine points in nine games with four of them being multi point games. The Bruins own the leagues top offense scoring just over 4 goals per game and travel to Tampa Bay Saturday to battle the Lightning who are allowing 2.5 goals per game.

Ryan Suter - Defense, Wild (DraftKings - $5,400 FanDuel - $4,300)

Has been a consistent DFS option this year with a high floor on both sites with blocks and PP points. He has even showed upside with the offense as he has eight points in the Wild's first nine games. He makes a great cash game option Saturday night.
