- "Shots attempted per 60 minutes" reflects a players shots on net + shots that missed net + shots that were blocked. It's a key stat to show how much a player possesses the puck generally, and is a predictive indicator for the number of shots a player will get on net.
- "Points per 60 minutes" reflects a players point production per 60 minutes of ice time. This is a great indicator of how productive a player is in their ice time. If a player has a high Points/60, and they get moved up to a top line, they'll represent a key sleeper play in the we

NHL DFS Picks for for Friday, October 30th
Friday night in the NHL brings us 8 games with some heavy favorites mixed with some pickem games with potential for high scoring. There are 7 teams(BUF,CAR,CHI,COL,MTL,PHI,VAN) playing in back to back nights with all of them besides Chicago playing a 3rd game in 4 nights. Again there are plenty of options for lineup building due to the wide range of goaltending options.
Henrik Lundqvist - Goaltender, Rangers (DraftKings - $7,900 FanDuel - $9,600)
Top option and biggest favorite(-255) on Friday night. He is 4-2-2 on the year with a .941 save percentage. A great matchup vs. a Leafs team who is scoring less than 2.5 goals per game.
Nicklas Backstrom - Center, Capitals (DraftKings - $6,700 FanDuel - $6,200)
Remains a value on both sites where his price hasn't quite adjusted to the talent. He has seven points in five games and the shot attempts have been rising like his upside. The Caps are big favorites (-215) at home Friday and Backstrom could be in for a big game.
Rick Nash - Winger, Rangers (DraftKings - $6,900 FanDuel - $8,200)
Nash sits in a nice spot Friday night at home vs. the Leafs giving up over 3.3 goals a game. He is near the top of the leaders in shot attempts per 60 and should be able to convert the volume into fantasy points Friday night.
Gustav Nyquist - Winger, Red Wings (DraftKings - $5,200 FanDuel - $5,700)
He is playing on the top line and getting over 15:00 of ice time per game and of that ice tie over 3:00 of it is on the powerplay. He is attempting 14 shots per 60 minutes and should see an uptick in production coming very soon. He is safe in all formats.
Brent Seabrook - Defense, Blackhawks (DraftKings - $4,700 FanDuel - $5,300)
Has been an excellent value since Duncan Keith went down with injury. Now has points in 4 straight games and averaging over 4 fantasy points per game.
