- "Shots attempted per 60 minutes" reflects a players shots on net + shots that missed net + shots that were blocked. It's a key stat to show how much a player possesses the puck generally, and is a predictive indicator for the number of shots a player will get on net.
- "Points per 60 minutes" reflects a players point production per 60 minutes of ice time. This is a great indicator of how productive a player is in their ice time. If a player has a high Points/60, and they get moved up to a top line, they'll represent a key sleeper play in the we

NHL DFS Picks for for Thursday, October 29th
We are back on Thursday for another night in the NHL and another great opportunity to cash in with daily fantasy hockey. There are a lot of chalk goaltenders tonight in great matchups at home so we will have to find our value for GPP's in our forwards and D men. There is still a ton of value to be had early in the season so lets dig in.
Jaroslav Halak - Goaltender, Islanders (DraftKings - $7,200 FanDuel - $9,100)
He is in a great spot Thursday vs. a Hurricanes team who are averaging less than two goals per game. He has been facing 29 shots per start and has put up a .940 save percentage. He is a safe play in all formats.
Steven Stamkos - Center, Lightning (DraftKings - $7,400 FanDuel - $8,600)
He comes into every game with elite upside but has been inconsistent to start the 2015/16 season. This should make him a low owned GPP option for Thursday in a matchup vs. the Avs who are allowing over three goals per game.
Jamie Benn - Winger, Stars (DraftKings - $8,000 FanDuel - $9,200)
He may have a permanent spot in this article as long as the Stars are playing. He has points in all but one game this season and five multi point efforts. He plays a ton of time on PP and makes a great stacking option with Tyler Seguin.
Mike Cammalleri - Winger, Devils (DraftKings - $5,200 FanDuel - $6,800)
Has been the Devils top player to start the year and still sits at a reasonable price on both sites. He has a nice floor with the amount of shot attempts he gets and also carries a high ceiling with multi point potential(3 already this year). He enters a matchup vs. the Flyers who are prone to giving up lots of goals.
Johnny Boychuk - Defense, Islanders (DraftKings - $5,300 FanDuel - $5,200)
He is averaging over 14 shot attempts per 60 minutes and has five points on the season. He is more of a cash game play at this point as his PP time is very minimal.
