Cheat Sheet Update For 10/22: Two new advanced stats have been added!

  1. "Shots attempted per 60 minutes" reflects a players shots on net + shots that missed net + shots that were blocked. It's a key stat to show how much a player possesses the puck generally, and is a predictive indicator for the number of shots a player will get on net.
  2. "Points per 60 minutes" reflects a players point production per 60 minutes of ice time. This is a great indicator of how productive a player is in their ice time.  If a player has a high Points/60, and they get moved up to a top line, they'll represent a key sleeper play in the we

NHL DFS Picks for for Tuesday, October 27th

There are 10 games in the NHL on Tuesday night with most eyes focused on the late game between the Canadiens and Canucks. Montreal is looking to go a perfect 10-0 to start the year and become only the 3rd team(93/94 Leafs & 06/07 Sabres) to accomplish the task. The other nine games are filled with some nice matchups where we can find some value in players who haven't seen their salaries balance out. There are also some nice high end players in good situations that can help us cash on Tuesday.

Carey Price - Goaltender, Canadiens (DraftKings - $8,500 FanDuel - $11,000)

Surprise, surprise, Price is the top pick again Tuesday night. He has been phenomenal to start the year with a 7-0 record and .961 save percentage. His floor will remain high as long as the Habs are allowing over 30 shots per game and his upside is the highest among all goaltenders.

Henrik Zetterberg - Center, Red Wings (DraftKings - $7,000 FanDuel - $7,100)

A very consistent center option to start the year with 11 points in 8 games and has been only held pointless in one game. He is getting 3:30 on a Red Wings powerplay that is starting to turn up the heat. He is in a great situation Tuesday in a matchup vs. the Hurricanes who rank in the bottom half of the league in defense.

 Jamie Benn - Winger, Stars (DraftKings - $7,800 FanDuel - $8,900)

He is a part of the Stars top line that is the top goal producing line in the NHL. He has shown tremendous chemistry with linemate Tyler Seguin and plays nearly 3:30 on the leagues 3rd ranked powerplay. His price has only climbed $100 on DratKings since last week. Get your shares of Benn before his price sky rockets.

Wayne Simmonds - Winger, Flyers (DraftKings - $5,400 FanDuel - $6,200)

Great matchup at home Tuesday night for Simmonds as the Flyers host the Buffalo Sabres. The Flyers offense is starting to click and now face the Sabres who are in the bottom of the league in goals allowed per game and penalty kill percentage. He is getting a ton of time on the PP and has points in five of his last six games. You will want some exposure to this potentially high scoring game.

P.K. Subban - Defense, Canadiens (DraftKings - $6,000 FanDuel - $6,600)

He is averaging over a point a game for the Habs who are undefeated on the season and ranked 2nd in goals per game. He is getting around 4:30 on the PP which gives him a crazy high ceiling. He is a safe play in any format if you are paying up for a D man Tuesday.
