NHL DFS Picks for for Friday, October 17th

Busy night in the NHL Saturday night with 10 games on tap. Six teams are playing in back to back nights and two teams are playing their third game in four nights. With the amount of games Saturday, it leave us a high number of players to choose from. It will be a slate where we can pay up for goaltending in cash games as there will be enough value to still get top end talent up front. In GPP's there are a few value goaltenders available that allow you to really stack some teams in favorable matchups.

Ben Bishop - Goaltender, Lightning (DraftKings - $7,600   FanDuel - $8,700)

He has been average to start the year but will be getting his second start vs. the Sabres whom he beat in his first start. As of writing this the Lightning are -300 favorites to win. Bishop will be in a great spot to pick up a win.

Steven Stamkos - Center, Lightning (DraftKings - $7,500   FanDuel - $8,500)

He is coming off a two goal, one assist game against the Stars and now has five points in five games to start the year. He is in a great spot at home Saturday vs. a Sabres team allowing three goals a game and near the bottom in Penalty kill percentage.

Jamie Benn - Winger, Stars (DraftKings - $7,400   FanDuel - $8,300)

Has points in all four games to start the year and makes  a great cash game play across the industry. Plays alongside Tyler Seguin making an explosive combination with multi point potential almost every night.

Jiri Hudler -  Winger, Flames (DraftKings - $4,900   FanDuel - $5,800)

Plays on the top line with Monahan and Johnny Hockey and is benefiting with four points in three games. He makes a better play on DraftKings where +/- is not counted. At his price he makes a great cash game play Saturday night.

Brent Burns - Defense, Sharks (DraftKings - $5,700   FanDuel - $6,300)

Logs 20:00 a game on the top offense in the league and he also gets shifts at forward from time to time. He gets top PP time and fires a ton of shots at the net. For the floor he gives you he should be a top 5 priced D man. He remains a great value at these prices and should be a staple in your cash games.

Anton Stralman - Defense, Lightning (DraftKings - $4,500   FanDuel - $4,600)

A nice salary relief defense play averaging 2.7 DK/3.7 FD points per game. He gets 20+ min per game and plays on top PP for the Lightning. He has a nice floor for cash games and is a nice salary relief for tournaments.
