Chris Durell's NHL DFS advice for 11/11/16 - daily fantasy hockey FanDuel and DraftKings cheat sheets. His lineup picks, sleepers and stacks for cash games and GPPs.

RotoBallers, welcome back to our daily fantasy hockey (NHL DFS) lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and FantasyAces. Below you will find our NHL cheat sheet - DFS lineup picks, sleepers and stacks for Friday, November 11 of the 2016/2017 NHL season.

Lest we forget. Before we get started let's take a moment to remember those who fought for freedoms so long ago and made it possible for us to pursue our passions and our dreams on a daily basis. Thank you!

Back to hockey. Tonight we a have a nice six game slate and as the week comes to an end there could be some tired teams. Three teams(DAlL, WPG, LAK) are playing on back to back nights while four teams(DAL, OTT, WPG, LAK) are playing a third game in four nights. Let's take a look at some value plays.

For those that are new to this, each day we'll be providing you with a few of our top DFS lineup picks for daily league cash games on FanDuel, DraftKings, and FantasyAces. We will also provide you with one of our favorite teams to stack for GPPs. You can grab the rest of our Premium DFS lineup picks and stacks through the NHL Cheat Sheet and DFS Premium Pass below.

NHL Daily League Lineup Picks for Friday, November 11

Claude Giroux (C, PHI)

DraftKings - $6,900, FanDuel - $7,000, FantasyAces - $5,600

It has been a fast start to the season for Giroux who has already recorded 15 points through his first 14 games. If you are looking for fantasy points or a betting man looking for Over bets, the Flyers should be your #1 focus. There have been five or more goals scored in 13 of the Flyers 14 games this season. It's pretty easy to see why too. They rank #3 in offense and #27 in defense. They will get another great opportunity to pay off tonight facing another struggling defense in the Leafs ranked 29th.

Nikolaj Ehlers (W, WPG)

DraftKings - $5,000, FanDuel - $5,400, FantasyAces - $4,700

The Jets top line has been one of the hottest in the league over the past week. All three of them(Mark Scheifele, Nikolaj Ehlers, Patrick Laine) have picked up points in four straight games and present tremendous value once again tonight. They face a Avalanche team ranking 24th in defense and 21st on the penalty kill. For cash games you can trust Ehlers who comes at the biggest value on the line. His well above average 16.5 shot attempts per 60 minutes have helped produce a stable floor with 39 shots on goal.

Morgan Rielly (D, TOR)

DraftKings - $4,300, FanDuel - $4,200, FantasyAces - $4,400

If you are looking to punt one of your D spots tonight take a shot with Rielly. He is playing top minutes for the Leafs as he continues to develop at the pro level and has provided a decent floor averaging over two blocks per game. He doesn't produce much in terms of shots with just an average shot attempts per 60 minutes rate(11.2) but has offensive upside with 27 or more points in each of his first three seasons. He should get some extra looks tonight in a matchup vs. the Flyers who rank 27th in defense and 22nd on the penalty kill while taking the 3rd most penalties per game in the league.

Stacking Option

Dallas Stars - Jamie Benn, Radek Faksa, Lauri Korpikoski

Coach Lindy Ruff mixed his lines up last night and it seemed to have sparked star winger Jamie Benn who scored a pair in a 4-2 over the Flames. The Stars now take the two hour trip north to face the Oilers who have been a bit of a surprise early in the year leading the Pacific division. It won't be a game where you will want to spend a bunch of salary in cash games but for GPP this line has tremendous value if they stay together. Benn is still under priced after a slow start and both Korpikoski and Faksa are mid to low range options.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes

For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.

For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
