RotoBallers, welcome back to our daily fantasy hockey (NHL DFS) lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and FantasyAces. Below you will find our NHL cheat sheet - DFS lineup picks, sleepers and stacks for Friday, October 28 of the 2016/2017 NHL season.
Friday presents us with a fairly busy night with six games on tap in the NHL. The Winnipeg Jets and Columbus Blue Jackets are both playing a back to back game on the road as well as a third game in four nights. Let's take a look at some top value plays for tonight.

NHL Daily League Lineup Picks for Friday, October 28
Mika Zibanejad (C, NYR)
DraftKings - $6,300, FanDuel - $6,000, FantasyAces - $5,150
A terrific option on a smaller slate if yo are looking for safety for cash games. He has been impressive in his season with the Rangers with seven points in his first seven games. While I don't expect him to be a point per game player this season he should be fairly close as he is currently ranked inside the Top 15 in SA/60(22.8) so far this season.
Richard Panik (W, CHI)
DraftKings - $5,300, FanDuel - $4,200, FantasyAces - $4,600
His price is starting to creep up on DraftKings but he is still a great value play on all sites tonight. HE gets the benefit of playing with two superstar caliber players in Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane and has already recorded eight points early in the season.
Kris Russell (D, EDM)
DraftKings - $4,500, FanDuel - $3,600, FantasyAces - $4,650
Russell makes a great low end cash game D man or salary relief option for GPP's to allow you to load up on goalie or a top stack or two. He doesn't offer much in terms of upside in teh offensive department but has a crazy high floor as he is currently blocking over 3.5 shots per game.
Stacking Option
Edmonton Oilers - Connor McDavid, Milan Lucic, Jordan Eberle
They will be chalky every night moving forward and for good reason. Connor McDavid is quickly becoming one of the most explosive players in the league and now sits at the top of points race with 11 in the early season. He has four goals and has been a terrific setup man for Jordan Eberle and Milan Lucic who each have scored three times. They get a tougher matchup on the road in Vancouver where the Canucks have impressed wit a 4-1 record.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes
For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.
For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
