Daily Fantasy Golf DraftKings Picks (PGA DFS): John Deere Classic

Xander Schauffele (-14) won the Greenbrier Classic by one stroke over Robert Streb. He birdied the par 3 18th hole after sticking his shot three foot from the pin. Streb needed a birdie on the 18th to force a playoff, but failed to chip-in. The 23-year-old claimed his first PGA Tour title.

Anyways, I'll be looking to get back on top the PGA Expert leaderboard providing you with my DraftKings PGA DFS lineup picks for the John Deere Classic. My goal as always is to help put together your optimal daily fantasy golf lineups.

If anyone has lineup questions before the start of the tournament Thursday morning, feel free to contact me via Twitter @Seth_Fink.

Reviewing Last Week's Pick

Bill Haas ($10,800): T-37, 4-under. Should have competed and played better at this price.

Danny Lee ($9,500): T-9, 9-under.

Xander Schauffele ($7,900): 1 1st, 14-under. This 23-year-old seemingly came out of nowhere three weeks ago when he had a great showing at the U.S. Open broke through with a win. I finally picked a winner!

Jimmy Walker ($7,800): 7-under. A strong 5-under final round catapulted him up the leaderboard.

Ollie Schniederjans ($7,400): DQ. He would have missed the cut by one stroke anyways and at least his points still counted towards Draftkings. He was disqualified because he as he wrote on Twitter, "I had made 3,4 on holes 5 and 6 but my card had me down for 4,3 not affecting my total score but still incorrect for those two holes." Golf is so stringent. And the PGA Tour Media could NOT tell us what happened until Ollie had to tweet about it 24 hours after. Keep us more in the dark PGA Tour Media.

Ted Potter ($7,200): T-37, 4-under.

Cameron Tringale ($6,500): Cut.

Robert Garrigus ($6,300): T-45, 3-under.

John Deere Classic

We are one week away from the British open, which means many top players are taking the week off or competing in the Scottish Open. If you want to watch some really good golf this weekend, I'd highly suggest watching the Scottish Open. Top-name players such as John Rahm, Justin Rose, Patrick Reed, Rory McIlroy, and Henrin Stenson are all overseas this week to name a few. But not to worry, Daniel Berger Brian Harman, Zach Johnson, and Bubba Watson will be competing at the John Deere! (can you sense the sarcasm?)

TPC Deere Run in Silvis, IL will play host to the John Deere Classic. The course is a 7,268 yard par 71 with four par-3's, three par-5's and, obviously, 11 par-4's. This course is fairly easy and you will surely see a ton of birdies.

I will be looking at birdie or better percentage, Strokes Gained: Approach, and Par 4 scoring average.

Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)

High-Cost Players

Ryan Moore ($9,200)

Birdie or better percentage: 60, Par 4 scoring average: 70, Strokes Gained: Approach: 36

The defending champion has a great track record here finishing in the top-25 in his last five starts including two-10's. He hasn't played since the Memorial a long five weeks due to left shoulder tendon strain. His scoring average at TPC Deere Run in his last 20 rounds is 67.20.

Zach Johnson ($9,100)

Birdie or better percentage: 126, Par 4 scoring average: 70, Strokes Gained: Approach: 150

Johnson has had SIX top-3 finishes at this event since 2009. Take a look at these finishes since 2009; 2, 21, 3, 1, 2, 2, 3, and 34th last year. Wow. Johnson has a great familiarity with this course and should definitely compete. He's had a two week layoff since missing the cut at the Travelers. And don't worry about his stats, he will finish top-1o this week.

Middle-Cost Players

Bubba Watson ($8,100)

Birdie or better percentage: 84, Par 4 scoring average: 58Strokes Gained: Approach: 164

His stats don't line up for this event and he hasn't competed here since 2010 when he was cut. He finished 70th last week, but for some reason I get this feeling that he will be up near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday.

Matt Jones ($7,700)

Birdie or better percentage: 126, Par 4 scoring average: 70, Strokes Gained: Approach: 150

He's been cut here three times, but finished top-5 three other times. He competed last year finishing 27th. He's made four consecutive cuts and there's no reason in my mind that he won't make it five straight cuts made.

Johnson Wagner ($7,500)

Birdie or better percentage: 139, Par 4 scoring average: 153Strokes Gained: Approach: 140

Wagner has competed at this event the last three years finishing 7-5-5 with a scoring average of 66.92. He was cut last week, but finished 5th at the Quicken Loans two weeks ago. His price is too good to pass up.

Low-Cost Players

Steve Wheatcroft ($7,000)

Birdie or better percentage: 197, Par 4 scoring average: 115Strokes Gained: Approach: 200

What a last name this guy has. He finished 27th last year and 8th in 2015 at the John Deere. He was cut last week, but did finish 10th at the St. Jude Classic a month ago.

Luke List ($7,000

Birdie or better percentage: 18, Par 4 scoring average: 70Strokes Gained: Approach: 44

List has been cut at past two and five of the last six tournaments, but his game is perfect for this course. He can make a ton of birdies and has a solid showing last year finishing 56th.

Robert Garrigus ($6,600)

He didn't let me down last week so let's go with him again. He's made back-t0-back top-25's at this event. His price only went up $300 from last week so his price is perfect this week.

Best of luck!
