Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/25/17): MLB Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings

We have a nine game slate to kick off the final full week of regular season MLB action. Yes, this is it, the final week of the season. Hopefully your real life team will make the playoffs, your season long team is in the finals, and the DFS grind has provided to be a successful one.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/25/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom and be sure to follow @RotoBallerMLB for year-round fantasy baseball news, articles, and advice.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Yu Darvish - P, LOS vs SDP (DK - $12,300, FD - $9,600)

Darvish is coming off two straight strong starts, where he didn't allow any earned runs and tallied 12 strikeouts over those two games. Darvish is a great cash game option tonight, along with being good for GPPs, since he has high strikeout upside. He is at home in a good pitchers park, against the Padres who have a 25% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers this season. The only bit of concern with Darvish is that he may not pitch deep into the game. He only went 5.1 innings in his last start, and with it being near the end of the season, he could get pulled a bit earlier then usual.

Drew Pomeranz - P, BOS vs TOR (DK - $9,200, FD - $8,700)

Pomeranz might not be the first name that comes to your mind when you think of a consistent pitcher, but he has only allowed four or more earned runs once in his last 12 starts. He is a bit cheaper then some of the top options, and he is up against the Blue Jays who have a 21.7% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers. Good GPP option, or a solid SP2 over on DraftKings. Pomeranz doesn't have a ton of strikeout stuff, but he also doesn't get blown up when he is on the mound.

DFS Infielders to Consider

Chris Iannetta - C, ARI vs SFG (DK - $4,000, FD - $2,700)

Iannetta had one of his best games of the year over the weekend, where he tallied two home runs and eight RBIs. He probably won't replicate that performance again, but for his price, especially on FanDuel, he is a great play. Iannetta has a .349 wOBA and a .261 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers.

Matt Olson - 1B, OAK vs SEA (DK - $4,900, FD - $4,300)

Olson may be the hottest hitter in baseball right now, as he has seven home runs in his last 11 games. He has a .439 wOBA and a .434 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers, and you should try to get him in all of your lineups. He might be expensive, but his home run potential is huge.

Robinson Cano - 2B, SEA at OAK (DK - $3,000, FD - $3,700)

Cano is a bit too cheap on DraftKings tonight, and he has hits in nine of his last 11 games. He comes into this game with a .381 wOBA and a .212 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. Buy low on him for the last few days of the season, since he is in a good match up.

Alex Bregman - 3B, HOU @ TEX (DK - $4,200, FD - $3,500)

Bregman has hit lead off a few times recently, and getting a player on the road in that spot is always favorable. He is at the Rangers, which is a great hitters park, and comes into this game with a .328 wOBA and a .168 ISO. Those numbers won't blow you away, but a player hitting in that spot, in the Astros offense is always a good thing.

Trea Turner - SS, WAS @ PHI (DK - $5,200, FD - $4,100)

It doesn't look like Turner will be getting any time off at the end of the season, since he missed so many games. He is riding a five game hitting streak and comes into this game with a .357 wOBA and a .201 ISO vs right-handed pitchers. Very expensive, but has home run and stolen base potential.

DFS Outfielders to Consider

J.D. Martinez - OF, ARI vs SFG (DK - $5,600, FD - $4,900)

It'd be silly to not mention Martinez as a DFS option tonight, as he has been one of the best hitters in baseball for the past month. No mater what the match up, what the park, he always performs. He comes into this game with hits in nine of his last 11 games, and five multi hit games over that same span. A threat to go deep any night, lock him in if you can afford him.

Stephen Piscotty - OF, STL vs CHC (DK - $2,900, FD - $2,400)

Piscotty may not be the most consistent hitter, but he has a favorable match up tonight. He has a .329 wOBA and a .387 OBP this season vs left-handed pitchers, and is up against Lester, who is giving up a .345 wOBA to right-handed hitters. He is super cheap and gives you the savings you need to fit the high priced players in your lineup.
