Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (8/30/17): MLB DFS Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings

We have a nine game main slate to get us through this hump day, and it brings some interesting story lines. We have the Astros playing their "Home" games in Tampa due to the storm, and have their ace on the bump. There are also some obvious pitchers to stack against, along with some interesting salary saving players. So sit back, read up, and let's win some contests.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/30/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Dallas Keuchel, HOU vs TEX (DK - $11,400, FD - $9,100)

If you believe in story lines then this is the spot for you. The Astros are playing their home games in Tampa due to the Hurricane, and after getting blown out last night, this is their time to win. They have their ace on the mound, and ready to take the win. This is technically a home game for the Astros, but they will have a positive park shift for pitchers being in Tampa, which is to the benefit of Keuchel. Over his last three starts, Keuchel has only given up three earned runs. He seems to have his stuff back after being on the DL, and a rough return from it, so load him up in any format tonight.

Parker Bridwell, LAA vs OAK (DK - $7,900, FD - $7,000)

Bridwell is a young pitcher who has shown he has the stuff to limit the damage and be consistent. He knows how to limit the damage, as he has only given up four or more earned runs twice in his last last ten starts. He is at home in a great pitchers park, and against the Athletics who strikeout 24.8% of the time vs right-handed pitchers. Bridwell isn't a super strong strikeout pitcher, as he has only had five or more strikeouts twice in his last ten starts, but finds a way to get it done. He is cheap, consistent, and will allow you to get bigger bats in your lineup.

DFS Infielders to Consider

 Chris Gimenez - C, MIN vs CWS (DK - $3,000, FD - $2,400)

Gimenez is a cheap option and against a pitcher who is giving up a .404 wOBA to right-handed hitters. That is an atrocious stat line, and any time you see a pitcher with that, you want to load up on bats against him. Gimenez has a .328 wOBA and .148 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. He is super cheap, and has a favorable match up.

Hanley Ramirez - 1B, BOS @ TOR (DK - $3,800, FD - $2,900)

We all know Hanley is on the back half of his career, but he is still powerful vs left-handed pitchers, and because he is cheap, he is worth a look. Hanley has a .320 wOBA and a .225 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, and comes into this game on a three game hitting streak. Good as a one off in GPPs because of the power upside.

Scooter Gennett - 2B, CIN vs NYM (DK - $4,200, FD - $3,300)

Always love targeting players when a game is at the Great American Small Park, as its one of the best hitters parks in the league, and very home run prone. Gennett has a .387 wOBA and a .267 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which shows he has the consistency you need for cash games, and the power upside for tournaments.

Kris Bryant - 3B, CHC vs PIT (DK - $5,200, FD - $4,300)

Bryant has hits in five of his last six games, and there is no doubt he is always one of the top options at the hot corner and tonight is no different. Bryant has a .390 wOBA and a 246 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. He is expensive, but if you can fit him in your roster, don't pass him up.

Eduardo Escobar - SS, MIN vs CWS (DK - $3,800, FD - $2,700)

Escobar is simply too cheap on FanDuel tonight, considering he has a .350 wOBA and a .181 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers. He is up against a pitcher who gives up a a .404 wOBA to right-handed hitters, so the Twins are looking to be one of the more popular stacks of the night. Getting cheap exposure against a bad pitcher is always good, and will let you load up a full stack.

DFS Outfielders to Consider

Josh Reddick - OF, HOU vs TEX (DK - $4,400, FD - $3,700)

The Astros disappointed last night against a weak pitcher, but its time to go right back to the well with them. Reddick has four multi-hit games over his last six, and is riding a six game hitting streak. He has a .353 wOBA and a .194 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. He is viable in all formats tonight.

Scott Schebler - OF, CIN vs NYM (DK - $3,700, FD - $3,000)

Schebler isn't that expensive, and he comes into this game with a .342 wOBA and a .269 ISO vs right-handed pitching this season. He is at home in one of the best hitters parks in the league, and is up against a pitcher who is giving up a .340 wOBA to left-handed hitters.

J.D. Martinez - OF, ARI vs LOS (DK - $4,700, FD - $4,100)

Any time Martinez is up against a left-handed pitcher you should play, literally any time. He has a .574 wOBA and a .565 ISO this season vs LHP, and should be a lock and load in all formats tonight. He is at home in the second best hitters park in the league, and the power upside here is real.
