Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (7/14/17): MLB DFS Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings

Justin Bales' top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 7/14/17. Expert MLB DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for FanDuel and DraftKings.

We're back from the All Star Break, and after watching Aaron Judge put on a show during the Home Run Derby, it's time to get back to DFS. We have a huge slate tonight, and there are plenty of pitchers with various prices that can be used tonight. That will allow you to stack any team you want tonight, as you can make the salary work.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/14/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Carlos Carrasco at OAK (DK - $12,100, FD - $9,500)

Carrasco has struggled at times this season, but he has looked elite in four of his last five starts. In those starts, he has allowed just four runs in 26.1 innings while striking out 35 batters. He gets a great matchup against the Oakland A's tonight, and Carrasco is a -151 favorite in a game set at 8 runs. He can be used in all leagues tonight.

Charlie Morton vs MIN (DK - $6,900, FD - $7,700)

Morton has only started 11 games this season, but he has found quite a bit of success with a 6-3 record, 3.82 ERA, and 9.6 K/9. He still comes with a surprisingly low price tag, even though he has been a much better pitcher at home this season. He gets a solid matchup against the Minnesota Twins, and Morton is a -161 favorite in a game set at 9 runs. He's a good salary relief option in all leagues tonight.

DFS Infielders to Consider

Catcher (C)

Wilson Ramos at LAA (DK - $3,100, FD - $2,800)

Ramos has only played in nine games because of injury this season, but he has a .242 batting average with five extra-base hits and 10 RBIs. He has been a consistent player that also comes with tremendous upside. He still comes with low price tags, and Ramos is a steal at catcher on this slate tonight.

First Base (1B)

Eric Thames vs PHI (DK - $4,600, FD - $3,500)

Thames has cooled off after a hot start to the season, but he has still displayed elite power, even over his last 10 games. He has hit right-handed pitching well this season, and he gets a good matchup against Nick Pivetta. Even though Thames hasn't been hitting for the highest average, he has found ways to stay consistent, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.

Second Base (2B)

Daniel Descalso at ATL (DK - $4,000, FD - $2,900)

Descalso is hitting nearly .350 with four extra-base hits and nine RBIs over his last 10 games. He is reasonably priced on DraftKings, but he is entirely too cheap on FanDuel. He gets a great matchup against R.A. Dickey tonight, and Descalso can be used in all leagues on this slate.

Shortstop (SS)

Jean Segura at CWS (DK - $4,800, FD - $3,800)

Segura has been enjoying an elite season, and he has been on fire over his last 10 games, as well. Over that span, he's hitting over .400 with six extra-base hits, seven RBIs, and one steal. He also gets a great matchup against James Shields, and Segura is an elite option for the Mariners tonight.

Third Base (3B)

Freddie Freeman vs ARI (DK - $4,900, FD - $3,600)

Freeman has been moved to third base, which gives him slightly more value, as there is less power at the position. He has been on fire recently, as he's hitting well over .350 with seven extra-base hits and 13 RBIs over his last 10 games. He'll also be hitting in a stadium that is designed perfectly for left-handed power hitters, and Freeman can be used in all leagues.

DFS Outfielders to Consider

Josh Reddick vs MIN (DK - $4,500, FD - $3,300)

Reddick was on fire before the All Star Break, as he is hitting over .400 with six extra-base hits, 13 RBIs, and three steals over his last 10 games. He's a player that has hit right-handed pitching well, and he gets a good matchup against Jose Berrios. Reddick can be used in all leagues tonight.

Mitch Haniger at CWS (DK - $3,600, FD - $3,000)

Haniger has been enjoying a solid season, as he entered the break with a respectable average. He's also a player that comes with a solid combination of speed and power. He has been a better hitter on the road this season, and he gets a good matchup against James Shields tonight. Haniger is a player best suited for GPPs, though.
