His ISO has jumped to .190 from .130 last season, while his K% has jumped six points from last year. A .437 xSLG is a .013 boost from 2018, and he’s hitting the ball harder than ever before (38.1 Hard Hit %), according to BaseballSavant.
Picking up 2B eligibility on Yahoo (two appearances away for ESPN 2B eligibility) makes Moran a much more intriguing fantasy option, as he’s drawing around five starts a week. Over his past seven games, he’s gone 6-for-24 with four doubles and three RBI. Batting in the heart of the Pirates order, Moran deserves a spot on your roster thanks to a more productive approach at the plate.
