ANALYSIS: Baltimore Orioles pitcher Cole Irvin is an underrated add heading into Week 12 of the fantasy season. Irvin has been a consistent arm for Baltimore's rotation in 2024 and currently owns a 2.87 ERA across 62 2/3 innings pitched. Following a brief stint in the bullpen, the Orioles promoted the left-hander back to the rotation due to the injuries of John Means (elbow) and Tyler Wells (elbow).
With Irvin now back as a starter, fantasy managers should pick up the southpaw. He has given up two earned runs or less in eight straight starts while pitching into the sixth inning in six of those outings. In his most recent start against the Tampa Bay Rays, the 30-year-old gave up two earned runs (three runs) on eight hits with six strikeouts across 5 2/3 IP.

Irvin does have some tough matchups upcoming against the Atlanta Braves in Week 12 and the New York Yankees in Week 13, but the left-hander is a nice long-term option in 12-plus team leagues.
