Cleveland's Top Prospect Bradley Zimmer to Debut in 2016?

On MLB Network's MLB Tonight, Peter Gammons predicted that Indians' prospect Bradley Zimmer will be roaming the Cleveland outfield sometime this year.

Outside of injured left fielder Michael Brantley, the Tribe's outfield picture is murky for this season--let alone into the future--so Gammons might not be as far off as that apparently overambitious statement suggests. Zimmer--Cleveland's first round pick from 2014 and number 1 prospect according to Baseball America--has flown through the minors as he finished last season with AA Akron to close out his second professional season. While there is no denying that Zimmer's mix of speed (44 stolen bases in 2015) and power (16 home runs) creates for a drool-worthy tool set, his struggles with the bat upon reaching AA and Cleveland's tendency not to rush top prospects (see Francisco Lindor) make that seem unlikely. If he were to find himself with a big league club, though, he would be an immediate pickup in most leagues.
