Charcandrick West (Concussion), Travis Kelce (Ankle) Questionable: Keep Spencer Ware Ready

The Kansas City Chiefs could be without two of their play-makers on Sunday because both Charcandrick West and Travis Kelce are both listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Buffalo Bills, according to the team’s website.

The Chiefs have won four straight games despite not having Jamal Charles in the lineup. The star running back is out for the year and West has been outstanding in his place. The second-year pro has delivered 18.9, 18.2 and 29.1 fantasy points in standard non-PPR leagues over the three weeks prior to this past week when he suffered a concussion against the San Diego Chargers. West had 64 yards of total offense before he left the game during the first half. He was on pace to have himself another great performance. The 24-year-old hasn’t practiced all week and all signs are pointing to him not being out there against the Bills. Spencer Ware will get the start if West can’t go. Ware was just as impressive as West in his first game as a running back this season. After missing the entire 2014 season, the 24-year-old delivered 96 rushing yards on 11 carries with 2 TD and 5 yards on one reception. Knile Davis was believed to be the player to replace Charles yet instead he hasn’t even played since Week 8. He’ll like be Ware’s backup if West can’t go.

Kelce “tweaked” his ankle during Friday’s practice, according to the report. The Bills shut down Rob Grownkowski last week, which wouldn’t make Kelce the sexiest start at tight end this week. Either way, Kelce is a go-to option down the middle of the field and in the redzone for quarterback Alex Smith. Demetrius Harris would likely see the bulk of the action at tight end if Kelce can’t play. Harris made two catches for 26 yards last week. He wouldn’t even be worth picking up with the way the Bills defense has played. Buffalo is 5-5 and could take over the second AFC Wild Card spot if it could knock off the 5-5 Chiefs. This game has so much meaning in the standings and has a defensive battle written all over it. Tight ends have combined for 72 yards against Kansas City over the last four weeks. If Kelce is your only option, start him. If he can’t go on a banged up ankle, sign somebody else.
