CFB DFS Rankings for Week 6 - Daily Fantasy College Football (Saturday, 10/5/24)

TreVeyon Henderson - CFB, NCAAF, Running Back, DFS, Draft Prospects

Brad's CFB DFS rankings for Week 6 on 10/5/24. His daily fantasy college football rankings for QBs, RBs, and WRs and the DFS slates on DraftKings and FanDuel.

For what feels like the first time this season, we enter Week 6 of the college football season with what could be some big-time shootouts. West Virginia vs. Oklahoma State currently sits at 65.5, while a few other games are closing in on a 60-point total. These are games that could pay off huge in GPPs.

This is also the time of year we need to start looking at injury concerns and possible opt-outs. If a player is out or returns unexpectedly (Caullin Lacy last week), that can open up a ton of value on a slate and allow you to get to the top end of more positions.

In this article below, you will find my CFB DFS lineup picks for Week 6 (Saturday, October 5) via my positional college football rankings. Use these CFB DFS rankings when building daily fantasy college football on DraftKings, and be sure to read the rest of our CFB DFS articles and CFB betting articles as well. Good luck, RotoBallers!

CFB DFS Quarterback Rankings

QB Cash Rankings Per $ QB GPP Rankings Per $
1 Jalen Milroe 1 Eli Holstein
2 Eli Holstein 2 Jalen Milroe
3 Alan Bowman 3 Jaxson Dart
4 Tyler Shough 4 Carson Beck
5 Jaxson Dart 5 Jacolby Criswell
6 Carson Beck 6 Alan Bowman
7 Marcel Reed 7 Kyron Drones
8 Kevin Jennings 8 Drew Allar
9 Will Howard 9 Diego Pavia
10 Diego Pavia 10 Marcel Reed

It will be very hard to pass up on Jalen Milroe's floor this week as he gets one of the best matchups on the board, a week after destroying Georgia's defense. He is priced up, so other options are viable in cash games as there is a nice group of mid-tier quarterbacks who are all likely to end up in the 20-point mark.

In GPPs, fading Milroe would be a decent plan, and the likes of Alan Bowman, Jaxson Dart, and Jacolby Criswell stand out. All three are in great matchups and are likely to be low-owned. Diego Pavia makes for an interesting stack option if you think Vanderbilt can hang in there with Alabama.

CFB DFS Running Back Rankings

RB Cash Rankings Per $ RB GPP Rankings Per $
1 Desmond Reid 1 Desmond Reid
2 Bhayshul Tuten 2 Kaleb Johnson
3 Omarion Hampton 3 Omarion Hampton
4 Kaleb Johnson 4 Bhayshul Tuten
5 Brashard Smith 5 Nate Noel
6 Isaac Brown 6 Nicholas Singleton
7 Demond Claiborne 7 Brashard Smith
8 Nate Noel 8 Henry Parrish Jr.
9 Samuel Brown V 9 Tawee Walker
10 Kaytron Allen 10 CJ Donaldson Jr.

At the start of the season, it would have been inconceivable that on a slate with Ollie Gordon II, he would not be anywhere close to a cash-game play. However, with the breakout of Desmond Reid, Kaleb Johnson, and Bhayshul Tuten, there is no room at the top for Gordon in cash.

As noted above, some sneaky game stacks could be had here this week, as the UNC vs. Pitt matchup has the feel of a game where both running backs try to outduel each other and explode for massive games. Also looking to attack strong offenses like SMU and Ole Miss through their running backs would be a nice zag in GPPs.

CFB DFS Wide Receiver Rankings

WR Cash Rankings Per $ WR GPP Rankings Per $
1 Tre Harris 1 Tre Harris
2 Brennan Presley 2 De'Zhaun Stribling
3 Caullin Lacy 3 Caullin Lacy
4 De'Zhaun Stribling 4 Ryan Williams
5 Ryan Williams 5 Luther Burden III
6 Taylor Morin 6 Jeremiah Smith
7 Luther Burden III 7 Konata Mumpfield
8 Jeremiah Smith 8 Rashod Owens
9 Eli Stowers 9 Arian Smith
10 Antwane Wells Jr. 10 Emmett Mosley V

Much like quarterback, the biggest names on the biggest teams highlight the receiver group this week. Tre Harris, Jeremiah Smith, and Luther Burden III all look like future NFL studs and will be highly rostered this weekend. After a nice return from injury last week, Caullin Lacy may likely be the most-used player on the slate at his near-minimum-value salary.

In GPPs, look toward the Oklahoma State receiver room, as West Virginia comes in with one of the worst pass defenses in the country. Also look at a play like Emmett Mosley V at Stanford, as the freshman had a big game last week in his first action and should be an under-the-radar play this weekend.
