CBB DFS: Main DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (2/27/24)

Hunter Dickinson - Kevin McCullar Jr. - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's Main DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 2/27/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

DraftKings does it again. The good is 15 games on the slate for Super Tuesday. The bad is that they didn't split the slates evenly. The ugly is the three-game night slate when they could have split this into seven and eight games if they put the 9 p.m. start times on the night slate. Those slates are the perfect size. 12 games gets to be a little much most of the time.

We begin in Red Stick with Georgia in town. Kentucky heads to The Hump to take on a different sort of Bulldogs. Wisconsin is in Bloomington for a tilt with the Hoosiers. Cincinnati is in Houston to take on the Cougars. Pitt heads down to Clemson. Virginia Tech heads up to the Loud House. BYU heads to the Phog. Vanderbilt is in Fayetteville for the running of the Pigs. Penn State heads to Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes. Texas heads up to Lubbock. The Pack heads down to Tallahassee. We end in South Bend with Wake in town.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for the main slate on DraftKings on 2/27/24, starting at 7 p.m. EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Jamal Shead, Houston ($8.6K)

Houston still plays the same great defense, but they have some offense this year. Shead has at least 30 DraftKings points in five straight and six of the last seven despite a couple of poor shooting performances. His passing ability and nose for rebounds keep his floor high. And the steals... Shead has 14 steals in the last five games. That's nine extra DraftKings points per game! Shead only had 30 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Cincinnati, but he was just 6-for-25 from the floor. He's not likely to shoot that poorly again.

Joseph Girard III, Clemson ($7K)

Girard is almost exclusively a shooter, which ultimately limits his upside. However, he's one of the better long-range shooters in the college game as far as consistency goes. Girard has hit at least two triples in every game since January 10. Girard hit six three-pointers in the first game against Pittsburgh en route to 25 points (and 33.75 DraftKings points). That was in Pittsburgh. Can they really guard him at home with the crowd on his side? I have my doubts.

Davonte Davis, Arkansas ($5.2K)

At this point, Davis is a GPP-only play. He was a big part of the team in the first month of the season, but fell out of favor due to inconsistent play and ultimately left the program for almost three weeks. The Hogs welcomed him back, but his production has been sporadic.

He was a solid contributor against Tennessee and Georgia before two disastrous games against Mississippi State and A&M. He rebounded this weekend with a monster game against Missouri, putting up 31.25 DraftKings points despite missing six of his eight shots from the field. Which Davis will we get tonight? If it's the good one, he could break a slate.

Nicolas Timberlake, Kansas ($4.4K)

Timberlake has drawn the start in three of the last four games with Kevin McCullar out. With the news that McCullar will remain out through the rest of the regular season, Timberlake is going to get some valuable experience and provide us bargain hunters with some solid lines. Timberlake has averaged 11.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 31.8 minutes in those three starts. That's really good production for the price.

Also consider: Ace Baldwin Jr., Penn State ($9.2K); Markus Burton, Notre Dame ($8.1K); Khalif Battle, Arkansas ($7.4K); Johnny Furphy, Kansas ($6.9K); Jaland Lowe, Pittsburgh ($6.6K); Noah Thomasson, Georgia ($6K); Trae Hannibal, LSU ($6.3K); Braeden Shrewsberry, Notre Dame ($5.7K); Kerwin Walton, Texas Tech ($5.4K); Primo Spears, Florida State ($4.9K); Julian Roper II, Notre Dame ($4.5K); Elmarko Jackson, Kansas ($3.2K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Payton Sandfort, Iowa ($8K)

Sandfort's last bad game was against... Penn State. He has been on a heater since facing the Nittany Lions the first time though, putting up 167.75 DraftKings points in the five games since. On paper, this is still a good matchup for the Hawkeyes. Given how well Sandfort is playing right now, I think we can trust him.

Chris Bell, Syracuse ($7.1K)

Bell is averaging 18.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 0.5 steals over the last six games. He can pile up points in a hurry. He has sunk 12 of 15 three-point attempts in the last two games alone! The Hokies are a tough matchup, but they are much better at home than on the road. Conversely, Bell is also significantly better in the Loud House. He averages 22.5 DraftKings points in home games compared to 13.9 on the road.

D.J. Burns Jr., North Carolina State ($6K)

The Pack has been getting great play from their frontcourt lately, and both players are affordable. Mohamed Diarra is the double-double threat. Burns is the scorer. Burns has scored in double figures in five straight while picking up 18 rebounds, 11 assists, two blocks, and a steal in that span. The Florida State frontcourt is also much-improved over the last couple of weeks, so something has to give. Still, I feel like the risk is baked into the price.

Zvonimir Ivisic, Kentucky ($5K)

Well, do we? Do we feel lucky? Just when everyone had forgotten about Ivisic (three minutes played in the past two games combined), he exploded on Alabama with 32.25 DraftKings points in just 20 minutes. It conjured up images of Ivisic's debut against Georgia over a month ago. Ivisic can't be relied on, but for you GPP players shooting for the stars, Tre Mitchell is still out. Ivisic might get another chance after that performance.

Also consider: Hunter Dickinson, Kansas ($8.9K); Dylan Disu, Texas ($8.5K); Jamir Watkins, Florida State ($8.2K); Tolu Smith, Mississippi State ($7.6K); Makhi Mitchell, Arkansas ($6.6K); Mohamed Diarra, North Carolina State ($6.4K); Ven-Allen Lubin, Vanderbilt ($6.1K); Mylyjael Poteat, Virginia Tech ($5.1K); Jamille Reynolds, Cincinnati ($4.7K)
