CBB DFS Lineup Picks (3/9/16): Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice for FanDuel

With conference tournaments having started, expect some big performances and some disappointing performances as well.  The casual college basketball fan is starting to tune in to do some research for march madness.  There’s no better way to stay engaged than with some Daily Fantasy College Basketball on FanDuel.

We'll be providing you with daily CBB DFS research and picks all the way through March Madness.

Without further delay, below are our favorite Daily Fantasy College Basketball picks for FanDuel DFS games for March 9, 2016.

CBB DFS Players to Target

Brandon Ingram - F - Duke - $8,700

NC State is not a very good team, but this is a trap game for Duke.  They finally started to build some momentum at the end of the season but then started to fade again.  Look for Duke to call upon Ingram early to use his size and athleticism to make something happen and build a sustainable lead for Duke.  Once Duke builds a lead they should have no problem putting away NC State.  Ingram will be the best player on the floor and I would not be surprised if he heats up from the outside and drops 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Grab Ingram for your DFS lineups Wednesday.

Josh Scott - F - Colorado - $8,200

Scott has put up very solid numbers over his last three games even though he had a tough shooting night recently against Utah.  Utah plays excellent defense and has arguably the best big man in the country down low.  Look for Scott to be able to create for himself and dominate down low against an inferior Washington State team.  Scott has been averaging a little over 16 points and 8 rebounds this season and he should exceed those numbers in a must win for Colorado.

CBB DFS Value Plays

Dorian Pickens - F - Stanford - $6,900

Pickens, has been a spark plug and a deadly shooter off the bench as of late for Stanford.  Getting 36 minutes two games ago, Pickens dropped 19 points with 3 rebounds and 3 assists.  In the second half of the season, Pickens has been Stanfords best shooter.  I see no reason why Pickens will not get the minutes and shots he needs to put up great numbers in daily fantasy on FanDuel.  For a player that you get for under $7,000, Pickens has a chance to provide two times his value.

Jalen Coleman-Lands - G - Illinois - $5,000

Coleman-Lands has at least 11 points in three out of his last four games and has shot outstanding from beyond the arc during that stretch.  Playing a Minnesota team that has terrible perimeter defense, Coleman-Lands could be primed for a great game.  When it’s tournament time you have no idea who is going to explode and I think Coleman-Lands has a great chance to do just that for your DFS lineup.

CBB DFS Players to Avoid

Grayson Allen - G - Duke - $9,800

Allen, arguably known more for his notorious trips than his game, is the second priciest player today.  He is not worth that at all at $9,800 as NC State will key in to stop him to make someone else beat them.  Allen is a very streaky and emotional player and if Duke goes up big early, as they should, Allen will not play enough to get $9,800 worth of value.

Josh Hawkinson - F - Washington State - $9,100

If Washington State is to win, Hawkinson will have to have a big night.  The only problem with this is that they are playing a pretty good defensive team in Colorado.  Colorado will not let Hawkinson beat them and will force the ball out of his hands with double teams.  Hawkinson is turnover prone and can get frustrated.  If this were to happen, Hawkinson will not even come close to delivering on his hefty price tag of $9,100.
