ANALYSIS: Cameron Artis-Payne has not appeared in a contest so far in the 2016 season as he was deemed a healthy scratch for the first two games of the year. Carolina Panthers starting running back, Jonathan Stewart injured his hamstring and is expected to miss the next 2-to-4 weeks of football activities in Week 2, which opens up the door for Artis-Payne to finally be active this season in the coming weeks.

The second-year rusher will likely be stuck behind Fozzy Whittaker on the depth chart, but could take away touches from Mike Tolbert, Carolina's bulldozing fullback. Whittaker is expected to draw the start in Week 3's tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, but reports indicate that the Panthers will employ a by-committee approach to their rushing attack and roll with the hot hand.

Artis-Payne should be picked up off of the waiver wire and stashed for future considerations due to the immense number of injuries that occurred to the running back position around the NFL in Week 2.
