Buy, Sell, or Hold: Nemanja Bjelica and Eric Bledsoe

Milos Zvekic's buy low, sell high trade advice for Week 14 of fantasy NBA. Milos delivers buy/hold/sell recommendations for Nemanja Bjelica and Eric Bledsoe in fantasy basketball leagues.

Trading your player when he is on a hot streak is a legitimate way to obtain better talent by the use of only your negotiating skills and player's forms. If you can combine that with a player who is ice-cold at the moment but is just about to turn things around, and you might end up turning top-100 guy into a top-50 guy.

Now, it's easy to get infatuated with your player who is providing you with great stats game after game. But if you're not convinced it's going to last, don't get too attached. Try and flip him for someone you like better but is in poor form. When the tides shift, you will end up with the better player.

Each week we're taking a look at two guys on both ends of the spectrum. Here are our Sell High and Buy Low candidates for Week 14 of the NBA season, right here at RotoBaller.

Buy Low, Sell High Advice for Week 14

Are You for Real, Nemanja Bjelica?

Even though Sacramento has strung together six straight losses, Bjelica was the one bright spot during these dark times for the Kings. Averages of 17.2 PTS with 2.7 3PM on 58.8 FG% and no misses from the line, 8.3 REB, 3.3 AST, 1.2 STL, 0.2 BLK and 1.3 TO in almost 35 minutes per outing has him inside the top-20 in Yahoo rankings. That's right - TOP-20!

This surge, however, coincided with Richaun Holmes being out with an injury. This increased opportunity saw Bjelica get a push from 28 minutes and 9.7 field goal attempts a game to almost 35 mins and 11.3 shots. To be fair, Bjelica did take advantage of the chance presented to him in a big way, and hats off to him! But it isn't realistic for Beli to keep it up at this level.

Now, Nemanja is ranked at #67 on the season and has yet to miss a game for the Kings, so his value is there no matter what. But top-20? I don't think so. Especially when Holmes returns, with Marvin Bagley relatively healthy.

If you agree with my assessment you should look to swap Bjelica while he is riding this success wave. Swapping him for a top-60 player would be a good deal in my book with so many unknowns surrounding Sacramento. Danilo GallinariJA Morant, and Al Horford all figure to have a better shot at a top-60 finish to the season than Bjelica.

Baller Move: Sell high

Time to Panic on Eric Bledsoe?

Dear Eric,

What the hell is going on!? Only 8.0 points with 0.3 three-pointers on 42.1% from the field and 87.5% from the line, 3.3 boards, 3.7 assists, 0.3 steals, no blocks, and 1.7 turnovers in 25 minutes a night over the last week of action are just not going to cut it! That is not even good enough for top-200 over this stretch. Poor Bledsoe owners...

Furthermore, Milwaukee only has two games this week (one down, one to go). He also has a shitty schedule for the next two weeks as well with just three games apiece. You can use this as an argument in your favor as well if you're sitting pretty at the top and Bledsoe's owner is fighting for the playoffs.

But Bledsoe surely can't be this bad the rest of the way, can he? He was ranked at #49 before NBA started in October 2019, but hasn't lived up to that and is currently at #90 on the season. This, combined with his recent woes and the poor schedule could convince his owners to let him go for cheap.

If you, like me, believe he is about to sober up and put some Bledsoe-like performances in, a player in the top-100 to top-120 range should be something you aim to give up for him. Terrence RossDerrick White or Kevin Huerter are all guys who seem to be outperforming Bledsoe at the moment, but that really shouldn't be the case for the rest of the season.
