However, their season ended with 30-27 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round. During the regular season, the Buccaneers posted a record of 13-4, making them the Champions of the NFC South.

This season, Tampa Bay will look to once again be strong on offense, as the team averaged 30.1 points per game in 2021-2022, placing them 30.1 in the league. The Buccaneers will square off against last season's 7th ranked scoring defense. Tampa Bay averaged 29.0 points per game against top 10 defenses in the 2021-2022 season.

One reason the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the 2021-2022 season with an excellent offense was their ability to start games strong, posting the 7th best scoring margin in the 1st quarter. On average they scored 6.29 points per game in the opening quarters.

Leading into this week's matchup, Tampa Bay will once again roll with Tom Brady in his 23rd season in the league. Brady is coming off a season in which he started all 17 games for Tampa Bay. His overall passing yards of 5,316 placed him 1st among other NFL quarterbacks.

However, their season ended with 23-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round. During the regular season, the Dallas Cowboys posted a record of 12-5-0, making them the Champions of the NFC East.

As the Cowboys take on the Cowboys, they will hope for a big game from last year's 1st ranked offense. Last season's unit averaged 31.2 points per game. Coming into the game, the Cowboys' offense will look to put up points against last year's 5th ranked scoring defense. Last season, they scored an average of 23.25 points per game vs top 10 scoring defenses.

On offense, the Dallas Cowboys put together one of the top scoring offenses while finishing near the NFL average in time of possession per contest (16th). The team won the time of possession battle in 8 of last season's game.

Leading into this week's matchup, Dallas will once again roll with Dak Prescott in his 7th Season season in the league. Last year, Prescott made 16 starts for the Cowboys. Overall, he finished 7th in passing yards with a total of 4,449.

As a defensive unit, the Cowboys finished the 2021-2022 season ranked 7th in the league, giving up just 21.1 points per game.
