Denver Broncos - NFL Betting Analysis

The Denver Broncos kick off the season coming off a year in which they posted a regular season record of 7-10. This performance left them in last place in the AFC West.

Denver is coming off a 2021-2022 season in which they averaged just 19.7 points per game, placing them 24th in the NFL. This week, Denver will face off against last year's 12th-rated scoring defense. In the 2021-2022 season, they scored an average of 14.2 points per game against teams that finished in the middle third of the league in points allowed.

In addition to their overall offensive struggles, the Denver Broncos were one of the worst team's in the first quarter, ranking just 21st in first quarter scoring margin. On average they scored 3.18 points per game in the opening quarters.

Heading into the game, the Denver Broncos will roll with Russell Wilson at the quarterback position. Last season, Wilson started 14 games for the Seahawks. This will be his 11th year in the NFL. Denver's leading passer in the 2021-2022 season was Teddy Bridgewater, who threw for 3,052 yards, good for 23rd in the league.

This season, the Broncos will look to once again have one of the top defenses in the league, as they gave up just 18.9 points per game. Compared to other teams, Denver ranked 4th in points allowed per play.

Seattle Seahawks - NFL Betting Analysis

In the 2021-2022 season, Seattle posted a regular season record of 7-10. This mark led to a last place finish in the West.

This year, Seattle will be looking for an increase in offensive output, as last year's unit averaged 23.2 points per game, placing them 16th in the NFL. This week, the Seahawks face off one of the top defensive units in the 2021-2022 season, as Denver finished 3rd in points allowed per game. In last year's games vs top 10 defenses, Seattle averaged 13.75 points per game.

This year, Seattle Seahawks will look to continue their tendency to start games strong, finishing last year as the 10th ranked team in first-quarter scoring margin. For the year, the team led after the first quarter in 4 games.

Seattle gets set to take on the Broncos led by quarterback Geno Smith. Smith is coming off a season in which he played in 4 games for the Seahawks and is heading into his 10th year in the league. His overall passing yards of 3,113 placed him 22nd among other NFL quarterbacks.

This season, the Seahawks will look to once again have one of the top defenses in the league, as they gave up just 21.5 points per game. As a unit, the team's defense gave up more points than their season average in 53 of their games%.
