Cade Cunningham - Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Keith Eyster's top NBA prop bets for 11/28/25: expert player-prop picks, value plays, quick model edges and line-shopping tips for today’s slate. Check odds & get the edge.

Welcome back to another edition of RotoBaller's NBA Props! We have another Emirates NBA Cup day on the schedule this evening, with 11 games in total and the final matchup of the group stage. A lot have teams have extra incentives today, which is something we can lean into when evaluating bets.

The injury report is littered with impactful names, with Anthony Davis and Giannis Antetokounmpo potentially set to return to action after missing significant time. The Cavaliers are also expecting to get some additional help with the return of Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen.

In this article, I will provide my favorite NBA player props picks for Friday, November 28th. Prop picks can range from individual stats—points, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and defensive stats —to combination props (Points + Rebounds + Assists = PRA). All odds and sportsbooks used are listed, but it's always a good idea to shop around, as odds change throughout the day as bets are placed. Let's get to the picks already. It's time to dive in!

Today’s Best NBA Prop Bets & Player Props

Let’s take a look at the top player props for today’s NBA slate:

Cade Cunningham over 28.5 Points (-106 DK)

Pistons point guard Cade Cunningham has been one of the breakout stars of the young NBA season. The fifth-year guard is averaging a career-high 28.1 points per game and has the Pistons among the best teams in the Eastern Conference. He is doing that despite struggling with his long-range shot, as he's shooting just 29.9% from three-point distance. The improvement has come in his ability to get to the rim and draw contact. He's shooting over eight free throws per game, which is an improvement of almost three per game.

Tonight's matchup against the Magic is a crucial one for the Pistons' chances to advance to Las Vegas and play for the NBA Cup. Orlando enters at 3-0 in group play, while Detroit is 2-1 after their loss to Boston. The winner of tonight's contest will automatically advance in the tournament. We should see Detroit lean heavily on Cunningham in this important game, which means he has a chance to play 40 minutes.

Cade is coming off a massive 42-point performance last game and will again be the focal point of a team in position for big things this season.

Donovan Mitchell over 28.5 Points (-105 DK)

The Cleveland Cavaliers are 2-1 in group play in the NBA Cup after dropping their last game to the Toronto Raptors. The good news for the Cavs is that they should be getting some reinforcements back, with Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen expected to be back in the lineup. Donovan Mitchell has been tasked with carrying the offensive load while those two players have been out, and it came crashing down last game. Mitchell shot just 6-of-20 from the floor and finished with 17 points. The return of his teammates should help with spacing and open the floor again for Mitchell.

Tonight's matchup against the Hawks sets up as a must-win if the Cavs hope to make it to the knockout round of the NBA Cup. With the Cavs already owning a loss, they must win and have a higher point differential than anyone else in the conference. That is where Mitchell and his scoring ability come into play. With point differential playing a crucial role in the Cavs' advancement opportunity, they should keep their foot on the gas pedal no matter what the score is against the Hawks. Their leading scorer cruising over his points prop is the easiest way to ensure that margin goes in their favor.

Top Value Props & Sleeper Picks

Betting on superstars is always exciting, but the best value often lies on the margins of a roster. Role players and emerging contributors can offer hidden edges, especially as the season wears on and injuries start to shake up rotations.

Let’s dive into some of the top value plays for today’s NBA slate.

T.J. McConnell over 12.5 Points (-112 FD)

This was one of the top plays on the board on Wednesday, and he cashed with ease, so we are going back to the well despite the line getting bumped by three points. McConnell played a season-high 24 minutes last game against the Raptors and finished with 16 points. He shared the floor with Andrew Nembhard for a big chunk of the third quarter. That is the rotation we need to see to feel good about McConnell being able to play 20+ minutes per game. Nembhard also happens to be questionable for this game, and his sitting out could potentially open a starting spot for McConnel. That is only a nice bonus, as the bet looks strong even in McConnell's current bench role.

Tonight's matchup adds even more to the appeal for McConnell, as the Washington Wizards play at the third-fastest pace in the league. Their defensive rating also sits at a lowly 29th, and they have allowed the most points in the league. It is one of the best possible matchups for opponents.

McConnell continues to thrive as a spark plug in a high-usage role off the bench. He is a leader on the second unit and now gets one of the best possible matchups, which makes this an easy bet today.

Collin Gillespie over 12.5 Points (-105 B365)

All three of Jalen Green, Grayson Allen, and Ryan Dunn are out for the Phoenix Suns again, which means Collin Gillespie should continue to have a huge role. Gillespie has played at least 28 minutes and scored at least 15 points in all six games he has played in this situation. He has averaged 17.7 points on 20.6% usage during that time.

Tonight's matchup is the toughest there is against OKC's number one defense, but this line still does not reflect the role. Last game, Gillespie moved into the starting lineup and played 34 minutes in the Suns' 12-point win over the Kings. He is not a lock to start again, but he should play around 30 minutes even if he isn't on the floor to begin the game. Gillespie finished with 21 points in the game, so there is quite a bit of room to factor in the difficult matchup he finds himself in tonight.

Vince Williams Jr. over 11.5 Rebounds and Assists (-109 DK)

This is yet another bet that cashed with ease for us on Wednesday, so right back to the well we go. Last game, Vince Williams played 35 minutes and posted four rebounds and 17 assists (!) in an overtime win against the Pelicans. He played all five minutes of the extra period, but he only logged a single assist in the extra time. So, we have 30 minutes in regulation with four rebounds and 16 assists, and his line has not increased?

Part of the concern heading into the last game was that Williams was only playing about 24 minutes per game. But there was upside for him to play more, and that is exactly what we saw. To be clear, even if Williams returns to that 24 minutes of playing time, this is still a good bet on the over.

The matchup is theoretically more difficult this time around, as the Grizzlies travel to LA for a meeting with the Clippers. However, the Clippers' defense has actually slipped a ton this season, and they rank just 28th in defensive efficiency. They have also allowed the 10th-most assists in the league.
