ANALYSIS: You’d be hard-pressed to find a hotter hitter than Soriano, who has put up a .296/.301/.676 triple-slash over the past three weeks and has slugged 12 HR since the start of May. His 10/77 BB/K ratio is hideous, but we’ve grown accustomed to that over the years; what potential owners should really be focusing on is the fact that despite all the hand-wringing over his contract, Soriano has still averaged 27 HR per season in Chicago and is currently on pace for 24 this year. Add in that he could very well post a 20/20 season, and you’ve got a quality addition available in 33% of CBS and 42% of Yahoo leagues.
