The talented defensive end/linebacker hybrid has an agreement in place to remain in Oakland. The problem is he's serving a one year suspension for violating the substance abuse policy. That being said, this is worth talking about because if he gets his act together he can really help that Raider defense. In general the Raiders have been taking steps in the right direction, although mainly with their offense. The defense was below average in every category except for rushing yards allowed. When Smith is ready to go he can help Khalil Mack pressure opposing quarterbacks and bolster the defense. They won't be the Broncos on that side of the ball yet, but it doesn't hurt their fantasy prospects. At the very least you could stream the unit against teams with weak O-lines.
