ANALYSIS: Toronto Blue Jays third baseman/outfielder Addison Barger made his major league debut earlier this season but was recently sent back down to Triple-A to further his development. However, the 24-year-old has been performing well in the minors and should be back in the majors sometime next month.
Through 34 games with Triple-A Buffalo this season, Barger has posted a solid .291/.435/.530 line with five long balls, 24 RBI, a 28:25 BB:K ratio, and one stolen base. He appeared in only five games in the major leagues this season and tallied just one hit while striking out six times.
However, since May 18, Barger has been riding an impressive seven-game hitting streak. In this stretch, he has tallied one home run, six walks, and only struck out twice.

Barger can provide a potent bat with great defensive flexibility and should be expected to rejoin the major league roster fairly soon. However, he should be left on the waiver wire in most standard formats for now, as he was not given many opportunities in the short stint he had in Toronto in April. However, deep league managers should add him if he is available.
