Los Angeles Kings defenseman Mikey Anderson sustained an upper-body injury on Monday against Boston and was forced to exit the game in the first period. He was hurt by a hit from Brad Marchand and needed help to get off the ice. Anderson has been a big piece for the in-form Kings, skating on the first defensive pairing and eating up a lot of minutes. He's regarded as day-to-day for now. The Kings are off until Thursday, so the 22-year-old gets some nice recovery time, but it's far from certain that he is going to be able to play. Anderson has only seven points to his name, but he's been hit machine with 127 hits recorded across 55 games, and he managed five hits alone on Monday in just six minutes on the ice.--Taavi Pailk
