As Phil Mickelson loves to remind us, he is the reigning PGA Champion, and although he's been as inconsistent as anyone, we know the upside is always there. Mickelson comes to the Farmers Insurance Open after opening 2022 with two horrible performances at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and American Express. The 51-year-old is no stranger to playing at Torrey Pines, having 12 appearances between the Farmers and US Open between 2008 to 2021, but we haven't seen much upside from his as of late, with his best result coming over a decade ago when he finished runner-up.
