Dalvin Cook Tests Positive For COVID-19, Out 10 Days

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (illness) tested positive for COVID-19 and is unvaccinated, which means he will be out a minimum of 10 days. Regardless of how many negative tests Cook can gather, the NFL's protocols state that he may not return for this 10-day period, so he will miss his Week 16 against the Los Angeles Rams. Obviously, this is terrible news for Cook's fantasy managers, but hopefully they have backup Alexander Mattison on their bench. Although Mattison is not as good as Cook, he will skyrocket to a top three running back with Cook being out. Fantasy managers should also keep an eye on rookie Kene Nwangwu who has looked electric on special teams and will back-up Mattison.
