Read Matt Ryan's fantasy football outlook for Week 4 of the NFL season. Notes, updates, analysis and advice including predictions for his upcoming matchup.
The 36-year old isn't thriving under new Head Coach Arthur Smith, and Calvin Ridley managers are yelling at their televisions asking, "What is going on?!". Still, after a dismal Week 1 (7.36 points), Ryan has thrown two touchdowns in back-to-back games and averaged 19.46 fantasy points per game (FPPG) in Weeks 2 and 3. Unfortunately, it seems to be the same old story for Atlanta as their struggles in the red zone continue despite a coaching change.
This almost feels like an argument against Matt Ryan, but I can assure you it is not. I believe in opportunity, and I also believe that the first few weeks of an NFL season is an extended training camp in this day and age. The Falcons have a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball, and Matt Ryan isn't completely toasted. The Football Team is allowing a league-high 27.68 FPPG to quarterbacks, and Josh Allen just threw for four touchdowns against this disappointing defense.
