Edmundo Sosa Back In The Lineup On Monday
St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Edmundo Sosa (wrist) is back in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Rich Hill and the New York Mets. The 25-year-old was held out of the starting lineup for four straight games as he was nursing a left wrist sprain. However, he did enter Sunday's game as a pinch-hitter and went 0-for-2. Sosa has outperformed fellow shortstop Paul DeJong at the plate over the past few months and he's become the team's primary shortstop as a result. He had an OPS of 1.071 in August and he's slashing .279/.354/.400 on the year.
