Tyler O'Neill Goes 0-For-3 In Return To Lineup
Tyler O'Neill (back) returned to the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He hit third in the game and went on to go 0-for-3. O'Neill was left out of the team's starting lineup for the previous three games before this one due to mid-back tightness. However, he did pinch-hit in both Wednesday and Thursday's game, going a combined 0-for-2 over the two-game stretch. Now that O'Neill is back, fellow outfielder Lars Nootbaar should see a slight decrease in playing time. O'Neill has been one of the Cardinals' best bats this year. Over 103 games, he's slashing .271/.341/.504 with 21 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 48 RBI and 57 runs.
