Josh Donaldson In Midst Of Home Run Drought
Josh Donaldson has had a relatively quiet year overall so far and recently, he's struggled to generate much power production. His last home run came on May 17 and he has just five home runs over 43 games on the year. Last year, in his first season with the Twins, he managed six home runs in just 28 games. Donaldson has an xSLG of .505, which is significantly up from last year's .413 clip. He also ranks in the top 10% of the league in both average exit velocity (92.3 mph) and barrel rate (14.5%). We should start to see some better power numbers come from Donaldson soon.
