DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 2/20/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 2/20/21. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

We begin the weekend with a nice ten-game early college basketball slate on DraftKings. We've got a couple of SEC track meets, a couple of Big Ten(14) slogs, a couple of Big 12(10) showdowns, with some ACC and Big East sprinkled in. Georgia-Florida and Missouri-South Carolina are the only two games with an implied total over 150. A few others, including Notre Dame-Syracuse, are in the high 140's. Kansas-Texas Tech, Kentucky-Tennessee, UConn-Villanova, and Indiana-Michigan State all come in under 140. I will have limited exposure to those games.

In college basketball it's perfectly fine to ignore slow-paced games or teams with tough matchups on a large slate like this. Choosing a couple of spots wisely has been the key this year. The bench players on teams with high point totals could wind up being better plays than starters in the games with lower totals. Only Tennessee is favored by more than five points, so we should see some close games today. That's good for DFS purposes.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/20/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Jaden Springer, Tennessee ($8,500)

The Vols and Wildcats combined for 153 points just two weeks ago, so I don't know why it has such a low total today. Springer was instrumental in the Tennessee win, putting up 33.75 DraftKings points. He has also cleared 40 in two of the three games since that Kentucky game. Springer is riding a hot streak right now and Kentucky couldn't do much to slow him down the first time around. I expect much of the same here today.

Ian DuBose, Wake Forest ($7,200)

DuBose missed about 10 weeks in the middle of the season, but picked up right where he left off in his return on February 10. He had cleared 32 DraftKings points in the two games since prior to the Duke game earlier this week. DuBose still put up good numbers against Duke, but Wake took him out after just 24 minutes since the Blue Devils blew them out of the building. Wake should be able to hang around with Syracuse, so expect DuBose somewhere in the 30's again. He's too cheap for his potential today.

Sahvir Wheeler, Georgia ($6,700)

The reason I have Wheeler over Mann is consistency. Wheeler has at least 20 DraftKings points in every game since Christmas. Even in the games prior to that, Wheeler didn't come in under the 20 point threshold unless he played less than 25 minutes due to a blowout. Wheeler had a solid performance with 25.75 DraftKings points in the first game against the Gators. Mann outdid him in that game, but he has been far less consistent than Wheeler since.

Sean McNeil, West Virginia ($4,800)

McNeil has supplanted Taz Sherman in the starting lineup over the past two games and has exploded for 57.25 DraftKings points in those two games. DraftKings is a little slow to catch up here. McNeil put up a solid 17.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Texas despite coming off the bench. Considering he should get at least 30 minutes in this one, it's not out of the realm of possibility that McNeil could flirt with 30 once again. McNeil might be the best bargain play on the entire slate.

Also consider: Dru Smith, Missouri ($7,700); Tre Mann, Florida ($7,000); Marcus Garrett, Kansas ($6,400); Mark Smith, Missouri ($4,800)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Kofi Cockburn, Illinois ($9,000)

Cockburn has been a force this entire season. Few teams have managed to handle him this year. Minnesota should have been one of those teams that had a puncher's chance. Instead, Cockburn ravaged the Gophers for 53.25 DraftKings points in just 25 minutes in the first meeting. It looks like that was a ceiling game for Kofi, so don't expect that kind of output again. However, Cockburn routinely clears 40 DraftKings points, so it's not unreasonable to expect him to at least toy with 5x value. That's hard to get in any price range in the college game.

Derek Culver, West Virginia ($8,400)

We have seen a couple of ceiling games from Culver lately, so it's time to take notice. Yes, I know the Oklahoma game went to overtime, but Culver still only played 31 minutes. That's about his normal court time. Culver played 35 minutes against Texas in the first meeting and racked up 40.5 DraftKings points. There's no reason to think that the Longhorns can handle him this time around. If West Virginia hangs around, Culver will be why.

Keyshawn Bryant, South Carolina ($6,800)

The Gamecocks hung tough with Missouri in the first meeting and Bryant is the main reason why. Bryant racked up 29.75 DraftKings points in that game. He has consistently been in that point range since then. After a brief banishment to the bench, Bryant is back up to playing 30 or more minutes per game. Vegas is expecting a close game. If that comes to fruition, Bryant will be a big reason why.

Olivier Sarr, Kentucky ($5,500)

The fact is that Sarr is one of the more polished players that Kentucky has. That has translated into good playing time for him in February. John Calipari has messed with the Kentucky rotations throughout the season hoping to find something that works. The Wildcats won games against Auburn and Vanderbilt this week, so expect Sarr to remain a good fantasy option at a low price. He put up 24.75 DraftKings points on Tennessee two weeks ago and it may have been more if not for foul trouble. Sarr is one of the better value plays today, and definitely the best that forward has to offer.

Also consider: Trayce Jackson-Davis, Indiana ($8,800); Alan Griffin, Syracuse ($8,300); D.J. Funderburk, North Carolina State ($6,200); Jeremiah Tilmon, Missouri ($5,300)
