We've only seen 75 major league games from Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette since his first call-up in July 2019. He's shown us a lot to like over that stretch, slashing .307/.347/.549 with 16 home runs, 44 RBI, 50 runs and eight stolen bases. Bichette primarily hit second in the Blue Jays batting order last year, which is a great spot to be in. The Blue Jays batting order is quickly emerging to be one of the league's more formidable lineups. There's a very good chance he ends up being the Blue Jays leadoff hitter in 2021, which would make him a strong candidate to score over 100 runs and see a sturdy amount of plate appearances. Jonathan Villar was the team's primary leadoff hitter in 2020 and is likely signing with another team for 2021. Bichette offers the potential to be a jack-of-all-trades fantasy asset, contributing in power, stolen bases and batting average. It's hard to know what his ceiling is in terms of stolen bases. He swiped 32 bags over 131 games in his last full minor league campaign in 2018, so the potential is there for 30-plus stolen bases, it's just a question of whether he'll get the green light. Because of his versatility, he's slightly more attractive in rotisserie leagues and head-to-head categories leagues than he is in points leagues.
