Jedd Gyorko In Line For Increase In Playing Time
Justin Smoak for assignment -- in order to bring Daniel Vogelbach aboard -- it seemed as if Jedd Gyorko’s playing time might get squeezed. But general manager David Stearns made it apparent that wouldn’t be the case, as he mentioned Gyorko as one of the names that he expects to see considerable time at first moving forward. Through 20 games this year, Gyorko has slugged five homers, en route to a .955 OPS. He remains primarily a season-long commodity in deep leagues, but he may also have DFS appeal depending on the matchup.
