Alec Burks Fires Up Season-High 20 Shot Attempts In Defeat
Alec Burks came off the bench shooting during Wednesday’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, attempting a season-high 20 shots en route to finishing with 16 points. The contest marked his highest shot total in a regular-season outing since Dec. 13, 2015, with Burks’ current role as a reserve for the Warriors lending itself to embracing his high-volume production. In addition to the scoring, he also added six rebounds and four assists Wednesday, indicative of the excellent season that he has had across the board, as he is on pace for new career highs in points (15.4), rebounds (4.5) and steals (1.1) per game heading into Friday’s outing versus New Orleans.
