DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (12/3/19): NBA DFS Lineups

Even with the temperatures cooling down, the NBA games have been heating up with a bunch of teams starting to figure out their identities on the court.

Tuesday comes in with a seven-game slate and we have six teams (Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic and Portland Trail Blazers) entering the first game of a back-to-back set. Keep in mind any older or banged-up players who may sit one of these two games.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/3/19.  You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Luka Doncic - PG/SF, DAL @ NO ($11,300)

Doncic has been one of the most prolific players this season, both on the court and in DFS. Doncic is coming off a November where he averaged a triple-double of 32.4 points, 10.4 assists, and 10.3 rebounds per game over the course of the month. It is even harder to pass up on a player of this caliber against the New Orleans Pelicans. You would think a backcourt of Jrue Holiday and Lonzo Ball would be lockdown on defense, but it has been the contrary this year. The Pelicans are ranked fifth-worst overall in team defense. They are even worse against opposing guards with a second-worst defensive rating and they give up the third-most points to opposing guards. Doncic is an elite play, as always, in all formats.

DeMar DeRozan - SG/SF, SA v. HOU ($7,200)

The San Antonio Spurs have struggled this season, but this has not come at the expense of DeRozan's statistical output. DeRozan is on pace to average more than 20 points per game for the seventh-straight season and has caught fire as of late. DeRozan has shot at least 50.0 percent from the field in seven of his past nine games. DeRozan is also contributing in other areas with averages of 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game this year. With the Houston Rockets in town, who have the third-highest pace in the league, and teammate LaMarcus Aldridge questionable, DeRozan could be the lead offensive player in a high-scoring affair. Derozan is in a strong position to provide five-times value at his current price tag.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Jonathan Isaac - SF/PF, ORL @ WAS ($6,900)

Isaac has been one of the best defensive players in the league this season. Isaac averages a league-leading 2.8 blocks per game, accompanied by a 1.4 steals per game average. Isaac is also averaging career-highs in nearly every statistical category this season. Isaac faces a Washington Wizards team who is bottom-10 in defensive rating, rebounding, opponent second chance points, opponent fast break points and opponent points in the paint. The length and natural athleticism of Isaac should wreak havoc against their divisional foe.

Luke Kennard - SG/SF, DET @ CLE ($5,900)

Kennard has taken off this season so far, with career-high averages in minutes, points, field-goal percentage, three-pointers, assists and rebounds. Kennard is currently on a hot-streak as well. He has put up at least 16 points in each of his past four games. This was done on shooting splits of 53.8 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from beyond the arc. These splits are not sustainable in the long run, but Kennard has an opportunity to continue his current run against the Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday. The Cavs are giving up the fourth-most DraftKings fantasy points to Kennard's position. Cleveland is also bottom-10 in defensive rating, opponent field-goals made, opponent field-goal percentage, and opponent three-point percentage. This is also the first leg of a back-to-back for the Pistons, which means there is a possibility Blake Griffin sits. This would leave to even more minutes for Kennard who is a solid play regardless of Griffin's status.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Andre Drummond - C, DET @ CLE ($9,1o0)

Leading the league in rebounds per game and tied for second in double-doubles, Drummond is established as one of the top big men in the Eastern Conference at the very least, if not the entire league. Averages of 17.1 points, 17.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.5 steals per game have "all-star" written all over this season. The Pistons are also entering the first leg of a back-to-back set, meaning teammate Blake Griffin may sit. Without Griffin, Drummond has a 26.1 usage percentage compared to 21.9 when Griffin plays this year. Look for Drummond to be a top tier center Tuesday against a weak interior defense in the Cleveland Cavaliers.
