Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups - Week 14

Justin Carter's fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 14 of the 2019 NFL season. These are free agent WRs to add, stream and stash.

It's fantasy football playoff time!

While most people have their receiving corps set by now, injuries or ineffectiveness can strike at any point in the year, so sometimes it's good to be proactive when trying to find guys who can help you during these upcoming fantasy playoffs.

With that said, let's look at some wide receivers you might be interested in this week. Not all options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster. Check here for a complete list of our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 14 for help at all the skill positions. All players on this list here are around 30% owned or below.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Free Agents WRs To Consider Adding

Darius Slayton, New York Giants 27% owned

Nine targets on Sunday, which equated to six catches and 44 yards. Not bad. Not the multi-touchdown games we've seen from him the past either, but Slayton was still getting involved and showing off different aspects of his game. Golden Tate (concussion) should return soon, which cuts into Slayton's usage in theory, but he's worth adding to your bench so you can see what happens.

James Washington, Pittsburgh Steelers 22% owned

Did you hear that Washington went duck hunting this week with quarterback Devlin Hodges?

Anyway, I sincerely don't think their hunting trip was the reason Washington caught all four of his targets for 11 yards and a score, but I do think Washington is developing a good rapport with Hodges right now. There's plenty of risk with Washington because of how ineffective this offense has been at times this season and because JuJu Smith-Schuster may be back at some point, but for now Washington's an ascending player who's worth a look.

Zach Pascal, Indianapolis Colts 17% owned

Last week had us all worried about Pascal, as he saw just one target and didn't bring it in. But on Sunday, Pascal was targeted 10 times, catching seven of them for 109 yards. This isn't the new norm, but last week's stinker was also an anomaly. Pascal should get decent involvement on a weekly basis and is worth a look in 14-team leagues.

Anthony Miller, Chicago Bears - 14% owned

We're now at three games in a row where Miller's been targeted at least nine times. In Week 13, he played 86 percent of the Bears plays and took advantage of the chances he had, catching nine of his 13 targets for 140 yards.

Miller still doesn't have a touchdown this year after catching seven as a rookie, so you'd have to think the end zone is coming for the second-year receiver. But even if it doesn't, the way he's being used right now makes him worth a roster spot.

Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons - 11% owned

With Julio Jones out on Thursday, Gage caught five of his nine targets for 52 yards and a score. If Jones isn't back against the Panthers, Gage has flex appeal in most formats based on his current usage. If Jones returns, Gage is still worth a speculative add and has value in deeper leagues.

Allen Lazard, Green Bay Packers 4% owned

Remember when we were all overdrafting the second and third receiver in Green Bay in preseason?

Well, Lazard now appears to be the second receiver on this team, but he's very lightly owned. Stop leaving him on waivers. He's getting between four and six targets per game usually, though the last couple weeks have seen that dip. Aaron Rodgers seems to be rounding back into form, and Sunday saw Lazard catch three passes for 103 yards and a score. In deeper leagues, Lazard is the non-Davante Adams receiver to own.

Christian Blake, Atlanta Falcons - 0% owned

Who?

Blake was targeted nine times in Week 12, but caught just two passes for 16 yards, so you'd be forgiven if you were confused by who the guy named Blake was who kept catching passes in prime time on Thursday. Blake caught six of his nine targets, finishing with 57 yards. If Julio Jones misses time, Blake's worth a look, as he has a chance to supplant Russell Gage in the pecking order.

Javon Wims, Chicago Bears - 0% owned

In a deep enough league, I'm following the targets on Wims. He had six of them, the most of his career, and caught five for 56 yards. With Taylor Gabriel out, Wims played 89 percent of Chicago's offensive plays, establishing himself as the guy who could step into a larger role. Is it a one-week fluke? Maybe. Are there situations where I'd grab him? Sure, especially in dynasty leagues.
