Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser kicked off the scoring for Vancouver on Friday, netting a power-play goal and then an assist on Elias Pettersson's goal. Boeser's marker was the first of a five-goal barrage from Vancouver, but Washington was able to recover and steal a win in the shootout. Boeser led all Vancouver forwards in total ice time and power-play ice-time, which is an encouraging sign that he could improve on his power-play production after it took a dip last season. After scoring 23 power-play points two years ago, Boeser only put up 15 this past season. With three power-play points in 10 games, Boeser is approximately on pace to match his power-play production from two seasons ago, giving his fantasy value a small boost.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
