Avisail Garcia Slotted In Cleanup Spot Against Verlander
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Avisail Garcia will start and hit cleanup as the team will try and extend the ALDS against the Astros. Garcia powered a home run against the A's in the Wild Card play-in game and singled and scored twice in the Rays Game 3 win. Garcia has played his best baseball at home this season, slashing .296/.359/.535 in 60 regular season home games. The Rays are banking on Garcia to provide a charge of power to the middle of the lineup but he has struggled against the Astros Justin Verlander throughout his career. In 34 lifetime at-bats, Garcia is hitting only .235 against him with two doubles and zero home runs.
