Winnipeg Jets forwards Blake Wheeler and Nikolaj Ehlers combined for five points on Thursday against the Rangers, but it wasn't enough to lead the team to victory. Wheeler's two goals helped the Jets keep pace in the second period and a power-play goal by Kyle Connor even put the team up 4-3 in the third, but they ended up losing 6-4 in the end. Ehlers had three assists in the game, while Mark Scheifele also scored. The Jets are set to be defensively suspect this season without Jacob Trouba and Dustin Byfuglien, so the forwards have a lot a work to do to keep the team in the playoff race.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
