Easton Stick Impresses In Fight For Backup Job

Los Angeles Chargers rookie Easton Stick completed seven of his 11 pass attempts for 78 yards, no touchdowns and an interception in Thursday's preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals, and he ran twice for a game-high 51 yards while adding a 31-yard rushing score. The rookie out of North Dakota State is looking to push Cardale Jones out the door, trying to secure the No. 3 job behind Philip Rivers and Tyrod Taylor. It's a crowded quarterback room with a lot of pedigree, but Stick is a former college champion who certainly looked like a winner in his debut. He has no immediate fantasy value, but down the road he could be a quarterback of the future for the Bolts.
