DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/20/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on April 20, 2019. Jake Finnen provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

For some of you, tomorrow is Easter. For others, today is Christmas. Either way, enjoy the day with some all-day basketball starting at 1:00pm EST. The first two games are going to be the most competitive and the games will slowly become more predictable as the day goes on. The Pistons cannot handle the depth of the Bucks and the Jazz defense seems clueless on how to guard and un-guardable player. Pity.

On the other hand, both the Nets-76ers and Nuggets-Spurs series have a chance of going in any direction. With Derrick White paving the way for the other Spurs to find their rhythm, he's already on the safer end when it comes to guards. Then there's Jamal Murray, who seems so excited for playoffs he can't put together a complete game, producing from start to finish. While it's seems like taking both Murray and White might negate each other, both have proven they can score despite their matchups and should do so. Derrick White is an all-around better player than Murray, so if you are forced to choose, don't fall for the name value and take the sure-thing in New-Tony Par....Derrick White.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/20/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Spencer Dinwiddie - PG/SG vs. TOR ($5,000)

With James Harden's price not terrible high, but high enough to warrant a few mid-to-low value picks, Spencer Dinwiddie continues to impress against Philadelphia. He has scored at least 15 points in all three games and despite the Nets losing, he is part of their winning system. The unfortunate side of his recent scoring is that in almost every game, and I hate writing about things you can look up yourself, but going back to Game 1, he scored 18 points on 14 shots, 19 on 16 sots in Game 2, and 15 on 13 in Game 3. The scoring is great, the efficiency means he is leaving so much production on the table. The Nets need to win this game and Dinwiddie needs to be a bigger part of that so look for him to have a greater impact and higher usage today.

Eric Bledsoe - PG at DET ($6,600)

It's no surprise that Eric Bledsoe fills the stat sheet naturally, but his price still qualifies him as a value pick if he can continue the strong play. There's nothing about the Pistons defense that makes me think they can stop Bledsoe, or Giannis Antetokounmpo, or Khris Middleton....or Nikola Mirotic if he is shooting well....you know, even Pat Connaughton looks like he is playing with more confidence than anyone on the Detroit roster. The Bucks have upside tonight, and while this game in general seems capped out at a Milwaukee blowout victory, I trust Bledsoe's usage to remain near 25%.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Rudy Gay - SF/PF vs. DEN ($5,100)

After responding to his measly five point outing in Game 2, Rudy Gay double-doubled in just 23 minutes in Game 3. It's looking like the Nuggets weren't ready for the Spurs in round 1 and San Antonio is making Denver pay for it's lack of playoff experience. Even with playoff-rookie Derrick White playing out of his mind, Denver is just one of those teams that needed that experience and their current roster can't live up to the emotional aspect of the playoffs. They peaked at the wrong time and players who paced themselves like Rudy Gay, DeMar DeRozan and the rest of the Spurs in general, look fresh and ready for their next matchup. Every Nugget starter needs to play better defense and seeing how that doesn't really just change in a matter of a day, look for Rudy Gay to continue to strong play.

Derrick Favors - PF/C vs. HOU ($5,600)

I don't trust the Jazz to turn this series around and even if they only manage to win one game this series, that seems like a net positive. While I won't advocate for the Jazz since they seem lost when it comes to defensive schemes, Derrick Favors is producing at an extremely useful rate. With his price, he simply needs to double-double to really hit his value tonight. So with Harden and Antetokounmpo's price above 10K, you will need one super-value play to make the lineups work, but if you need a safe option at power forward, Favors seems like he is one of the few consistent players on Utah's roster and Houston won't be focusing their efforts on stopping him.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Blake Griffin - C vs. MIL ($7,400)

Of course we have to be careful that Blake Griffin actually plays, but since he is listed as a center tonight with not to high of a price, at least consider it. The Pistons don't matchup well with the Bucks roster, but Griffin does have upside any time he plays a team like the Bucks, who lack a true paint-protector. You will need to check early and if there is no update, the gamble is NOT worth it. This pick is only worth it if Griffin is cleared, which is still up in the air.
