Vancouver Canucks goaltender Jacob Markstrom will get the nod on Thursday against the Calgary Flames on opening night. Markstrom had a very good season for how weak the Canucks blueline is, posting a 23-26-7 record and a .912 save percentage last year. Markstrom's status as starter remains pretty solidified, as he got 57 starts of work under his belt. A possible timeshare with backup Anders Nilsson could be in place, however, for now, assume Markstrom as the starter. He should be started in deeper formats.--Caden
