FanPicks Quarterbacks - Week 1 DFS Picks
Andrew Luck - vs CIN ($5,800)
FanPicks has so much value in week 1 that this article has simply become salary relief recommendations. In his last healthy season, Luck threw for 4,240 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also added 341 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, as well. He'll be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL if he's even relatively close to healthy this season. He also gets a great matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in what should be a relatively high scoring game. Luck should be used while he can be had at this low of a price tag.
FanPicks Running Backs - Week 1 DFS Picks
Jamaal Williams - vs CHI ($4,000)
Williams will be Green Bay's starting running back this season. He will also be without Aaron Jones, who could potentially steal his carries, this week. In seven starts last season, Williams averaged 96 yards and 0.7 touchdowns per game. Green Bay should score plenty of points in this game, and Williams should receive plenty of red zone carries this season. He's an elite play this week.
Peyton Barber - at NO ($3,900)
Barber is the clear-cut starting running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He flashed over his final five games last season, averaging 84.6 yards and 0.2 touchdowns per game. He's playing in a game that is expected to feature plenty of scoring, and Barber will see too many touches to ignore for this price.
FanPicks Wide Receivers - Week 1 DFS Picks
Davante Adams - vs CHI ($4,700)
Adams has failed to reach 1,000 yards in any season during his career, but he has now scored 12 and 10 touchdowns in each of his last two seasons. Adams will now move into the number one receiver role with the departure of Jordy Nelson. Adams will be the featured red zone threat for Green Bay, and he should be priced as one of the top receivers on this slate.
Cole Beasley - at CAR ($3,200)
Beasley is far from an elite player, but he's starting and extremely cheap. There is potential that Beasley leads the Dallas Cowboys in targets this season, and he's a fairly safe option when given big targets. He also gets a great matchup against the Carolina Panthers, and Beasley is a safe option for this price.
FanPicks Tight End - Week 1 DFS Pick
Jack Doyle - vs CIN ($3,500)
Doyle wil get a boost at quarterback after Andrew Luck missed last season with an injury. Doyle was still able to dominate the Cincinnati Bengals last season. In that game, he posted 12 receptions for 121 yards and one touchdown. Cincinnati features one of the worst defenses in the NFL against the tight end, and Doyle can be used in all leagues.
FanPicks Defense - Week 1 DFS Pick
Cleveland Browns - vs PIT ($2,300)
The Browns quietly make a great option this week. There is supposed to be a few inches of rain in Cincinnati during this game, potentially limiting the potential upside for scoring. Pittsburgh will be without Le'Veon Bell, who is arguably their best offensive option. Cleveland features an under the radar defense, and they make a great option this weekend.
