Anibal Sanchez Exits Game After Being Hit By Comebacker

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez suffered a contusion on his left calf when he was hit by a comebacker off the bat of Michael Taylor in the second inning of Thursday's game. He got the out, the third of the frame, but was removed for precautionary measures. If he turns out to be hurt worse than thought, then it will have been a very bad week for Braves hurlers - Max Fried suffered a groin strain trying to avoid being hit by a ball up the middle earlier in the week and is on the DL. Atlanta is playing a lot of consecutive games, so this could tax their pitching if Sanchez joins Fried.
