Jaime Garcia Pitches Well Against Orioles
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Jaime Garcia had an attractive matchup on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles, and he certainly made the most of it in a no-decision. Garcia pitched six innings, allowing one earned run on four hits and three walks while striking out six. It was a nice bounce-back effort for Garcia, who was coming off surrendering four runs in only 1 2/3 innings against the Detroit Tigers, but there’s really nothing to see here. Garcia is a middling pitcher who is streamable in great matchups like this, but he should otherwise be left alone. After Thursday’s success, he still owns a bad 5.57 ERA and 1.56 WHIP on the year.
